Networks
As well as being part of the Subject Network of the 24 subject centres of the Higher Education Academy, PALATINE supports and continues to develop a range of national networks and special interest groups (SIGs), creating opportunities for colleagues in the various communities of practice within the disciplines of dance, drama and music to communicate with each other, and to share ideas and practices.
Currently we are working with several active special interest groups (see menu on left). These groups bring together colleagues with common interests and who are facing similar challenges. PALATINE's role is to facilitate the exchange of ideas, experiences, expertise and resources.
We also work closely with other organisations across the UK that are involved in learning and teaching, in particular the three Subject Associations (NAMHE, SCODHE, and SCUDD) who are formally represented on PALATINE's Advisory Board.
Whilst we recognise that many colleagues may already be participating in discipline-based SIGs, PALATINE is happy to facilitate new groupings. Please contact Ralph Brown, our Projects Officer, subject heading: 'SIG enquiry'.
