Event Description

Calling all undergraduate student reps in Archaeology, Classics, Dance, Drama, Music and Materials Science in the North of England and Scotland...you are invited to:
Engage! A Student Representative Awayday
Engage! is a free, 24-hour awayday for undergraduate student representatives from universities and colleges in the North of England (the NE, NW, Yorkshire, etc.) and Scotland. Taking place in a hotel conference centre and spa set amongst the hills of Lancashire, Engage! is an opportunity to share your ideas about and experiences of higher education within and across different subject areas.
The need to involve and engage fully with students is a major concern in higher education, and the aim of Engage! is to enable student reps in the subject areas of archaeology and classics, the performing arts, and materials science to contribute to the development of policy and practice in relation to student engagement in higher education.
Engage! is organised by three of the Higher Education Academy’s northern-based Subject Centres: Archaeology & Classics, PALATINE (dance, drama and music) and UKCME (materials) and is supported by the National Union of Students.
