Connectedness and Interdependence: Cross-cultural exchange in drama pedagogy
Mary Steadman, Senior Lecturer, Bath Spa University
Disciplines: Drama
Status: Current
Start date: 1/10/2009
This aim of this project is to embark on in-depth inquiry into the value of cross-cultural and inter-cultural exchange in drama pedagogy, recognising the increasing significance of developing a global perspective within higher education. The project aims to forge national and international links in student theatre and establish networks between institutions and organisations, with a view to examining the range of practices and the value of cross-cultural exchange within pedagogic practice.
Colleagues are invited to respond to a survey that has been set up as part of the project. The survey is relatively short, 10 questions, and will provide an overview of data related to students participating in cross-cultural exchange within the subjects of Drama and Performing Arts. It seeks to investigate the diversity of practice, and to begin to gain an overview of the kinds of activity departments are participating in, in relation to international exchange and outside of the Erasmus scheme. It is anonymous, and all data will be treated confidentially. If you could take 10 minutes to complete it, that would be very useful to gather a broad range of data for this project.
